i bought some nice ih cultivator shanks today
in the lot were some bigger diameter shanks , the shanks look idendical to the other ones
just larger around and longer
what would these be for ?

Pictures might be best.I have some for my cub and some for my H.Same size!!! Kevin Shields are a lot bigger for the H though!!!

Not pos. but I think that there might be a couple different sizes of IH shanks, and the bigger ones fit the bigger cultivators.(4, 6, 8, row etc.) thanks; sonny

IH made the #16 spring trips with a variety of standards. Round ones were 1 1/4 and 1 7/16 diameter. They were in a variety of lengths, offsets and even a trailing version. Typical Cub cultivators used the small diameter and only two lengths. The larger diameter was used on some larger tractors.
