I have a few others like these that came with my Granddad's old Super C. I may try to make some sort of display for all of them...

Re: IH WrenchesThose look awesome.....reminds me of the tools I have from my grandfather....no tractor stuff but lots of masonary tools...

Re: IH WrenchesPretty cool. I have several similar style wrenches from my grandfather so I think I will take a closer look at them.

Re: IH WrenchesThats the beauty of these old tractors. Two or three good wrenches and you can have the whole tractor taken apart in about hour or two. Love the old tools you scored there. I look for old stanley hand planes to do wood working with. A good hand plane with a sharp blade will work circles around a router spinning at 12,000 RPM anyday.
No matter where you go, there you are.

Re: IH WrenchesNice purchase!
I get a little ill when I think of some of the stuff we sold after my grandfather passed away about 10 years ago. We had two different all day sales with two auctioneers going most of the time. My grandfather collected (some say accumulated) so much stuff it would be impossible to list it, and most wouldn't believe it! We sold "common" old auto, tractor and implement wrenches by the box lot. The auctioneer picked out the "better" ones and we mounted them on nails on a board, it filled a 4 X 8 sheet of plywood. I remember some unique IH, Deere, Oliver, etc. as well as Indian Motorcycle and other unique ones. I did keep many different things, but no wrenches... ya just can't keep it all (like he did!) I picked up a couple IH ones at a tractor show two weekends ago and have painted them to put in my Cub tool box, just for fun. If I could turn back the hands of time.... David
