Well the snow is just about gone and a bad memory. We've had record breaking temps here in west central Illinois in the high 60's and low 70's
The antique skid steer loader done a great job digging us out, but I suspected the drive belt was not long for the world when I put the main gearbox back in it, so I ordered a new belt from Case, just to have it on hand. Well I picked it up a and I about fell over dead when they presented me the bill for almost 200 bucks

(I always thought my equipment with green paint was expensive, now I see construction yellow isn't much better, lol)
However, I guess I really still can't complain any, I have a rebuilt gearbox with new bearings and now the new drive belt and the cost and still have less than $600 in it. I think the last drive belt we put on was 15 to 18 years ago. When the gearbox destroyed itself, my boss didn't want to spend the time and money on rebuilding it and was about ready to take the whole machine to the scrap salvage yard, well needless to say I just could not see that happening and like so many other things I bought it.
