On average how much is added to price for a demo. I have a friend that has what we believe to be a demo C, and he is considering selling it. I know about regional differences, however I don't have a clue about what "Value is added" if in fact it is a demo. I have not verified it being a demo, however the white paint was the first coat, overcoated with red. If I were to make an offer on the tractor the way it sits now (if it were not a demo)I'd probably say $ 800.00, the engine is free and owner says t/b is noisy, tires are very good .
I would appreciate any insight that you folks tha have dealt with the demos would have. How doI use the s/n to verify that it is a demo ?
Thanks, Berlin

C 47010 - 54410 = 7400 C's made that were demo's. You also want to look for late "S" or early "T" casting dates. THere is a link on links page on my webpage below my signature that has a bunch of information on demo's. If the tractor is non running, being a demo, doesnt add any value to it per see, only to the buyer. If they really want one. I have paid 800-1500 for non running demo cubs. The only one that drove into my shop for tear down, looked the worst, and cost me the less. But they all are queens now.
