HELP! Farmall 300, cant find engine kitI sent the C-169 engine out of my 1954 Farmall 300 to a rebuilder. He normally uses Federal Mogul Sealed Power engine kits but he said they only had two piston and sleeve assemblies available with no plans to manufacture more. I want top quality made in the USA parts and I am willing to pay for them. In the past cheap chinese crap and no name parts have cost me much more than buying quality parts from the start. I see lots of rebuild kits available with no info about who makes them or where they come from. I am planing on using this tractor to work, not as a museum piece or a parade tractor. Can anyone recommend a kit that will last fifty years like the original IH engine parts did?
Re: HELP! Farmall 300, cant find engine kitI just looked at the YTMAG site, their's is a TISCO kit. Googling TISCO says they are owned by Woods. No info on where the parts are made. I would think a phone call could get you that answer.

Re: HELP! Farmall 300, cant find engine kitCarter & Gruenewald has them on their website. IH Firecrater, $355 a hole. I bought a NOS set for my Super A at Red Power. Might try the adds in Red Power Magazine for NOS parts. American made is becoming a thing of the past for many items.

Re: HELP! Farmall 300, cant find engine kitCheck with JP Tractor Salvage at the bottom of the page, they also sell new parts. give them a call, their email is not dependable..
Another place to try is http://www.weberstractorworks.com/ It is not on their web page, but give them a call, they have some stuff that is not listed. "The Constitution is not an instrument for the government

Re: HELP! Farmall 300, cant find engine kitDo you have a good auto parts store in your area? Have a chat with the real old guy behind the counter. Price the overhaul kits from all of the suppliers in your area. There is a big difference in the price.
Actually I surprised that your rebuilder does not have a supplier of quality overhaul kits. I have an excuse. CRS.
Re: HELP! Farmall 300, cant find engine kitFound these folks a few months ago. Planning on ordering Cub kit from them shortly.
