Used the 1000 Loader Today!!!

Postby BigMatt » Sun Jan 22, 2012 8:36 pm

I bought some stuff at the auction yesterday and unloaded the trailer today! The loader worked. It was a little light on capacity, but I was able to rotate the bucket to get the bush hog up.

I wonder if there is a problem since I couldn't lift it with the arm. I could hear the high pressure bypass letting fluid through. I had the throttle all the way up. I imagine the bush hog weighs 250 lbs or so.

What do you guys think?

there is a presure relief on the loader valve you may want to adjust to get some add lifting power.

It will be under the Acorn Nut on the left side of the valve.

I have a loader on my 1955 100 and love it! I can pick up a 8' tandem disk with my loader just have to be careful and go slow.

OK, I went out and adjusted the pressure relief today after work. It is running really well now. I adjusted it so that it would just pick up the bush hog without bypassing at all. I don't have a 1500 PSI gauge. I also ran both rams against a stop and the hoses held, so the relief is still doing it's job.

Maybe I will be able to rig up a high pressure gauge from work and check the pressure. I'll have to look for one.
