Farmall Cub

I had a gentleman respond to an ad I placed about any Farmall implements for sale and he has several. One is a disc I'm not familiar with, but interested in. He said it is a pull type, single gang. Here is the interesting part. He said you set your angle, reverse to set gang to zero to turn, travel, or whatever, pull a rope and the gang automatically resets to cutting angle. Cut that row, reverse to set at zero again, travel, pull rope again to cut. I've seen a lot of old double & single gang discs around here, but none that had this feature, or none that I noticed. Could be common elsewhere. Sorry, no pics yet. Any help appreciated.

I had a double gang disc like that years ago that I pulled with my M. Pull the rope, back up, and the blades are straight. Pull the rope, go foreward and set your angle. It worked real well.

That is how the cub 23A disc works. They work good, but do work best with the 2nd gang behind it. i have a double gang, and the front half of a single gang. Whichever I choose to pull, I add 2 rear wheel weights for an additional 300lb. Cub pulls it good unless the soil is too wet.

Have an 8' tandem disc that works that way -Use my B to pull it - not sure the Cub would handle it fully angled in plowed ground. Does a good job of working the soil tho. Dusty B

What would one in good useable condition such as I described be worth?

Just the front half $150 to $200

Complete in good shape $350-$500

Lots of speculation could be avoided ifn we had pics on which to base an opinion. Is that possible?

Intersteing, I just put a ID question the other day for a large internation disk. I pulled the pins and am using the front gangs only with my cub. And theat adjustment is a great think. I bought the whole disk with 4 gangs for a hundred. The front half alone works great on my cub.

I have and use one exactly like the one pictured. Only problem is the center of the gang does not cut as deep as the ends.

Hi all - I've also got this disc. I'm traveling on business in NJ right now. I'm pretty sure the tags are still on ours. When I get back late tomorrow night I'll be at the farm on Friday - I'll get a shot of the disc and the ID tag. Hope that helps, Ken

I have one too and I believe it is an IHC #9a disk harrow.

I bought it from the same guy who sold my the M. I got it for $150.

I pull it with 4-100# weights on it with the M and it does a great job.
