Farmall museum

Postby Mr E » Mon Sep 23, 2013 2:03 pm

I promised several of the members that I would post my pictures from Farmall_Land_USA museum that I recently visited as soon as I had a chance to get the pictures uploaded. Sorry it took so long. Here they are, enjoy them. LOTS of pictures, not in order by model necessarily, just snapped as I got to them.

The gentleman that admitted me said he was going to "put me up in the air" so I could get some good shots of the rooms. Up in the air turned out to me behind the wheel of those two monster yellow tractors that were in separate rooms. Man, that was a treat within itself. (It helps to be carrying a big camera.)

Farmall Pictures

Mods, not sure what forum to put this post. It DOES have cubs included, although obviously not all of the pics are of cubs. Move if you see fit.

** Edit **
Sorry for the quality of some of the photos. The glare in the rooms was terrible. Lots of lights shining on lots of shiny objects. :?

WOW! Now that is something! :{_}:

I can't help but notice that the garage portion of the museum looks an awful lot like my own garage. Oh wait that was in my dreams.

Is this the same Farmall Museum in Florida that I've seen clips of on Successful Farming Machinery Show on RFDTV ?

I was there in '09 when they had the first Farmall Regular and the last IH produced at Rock Island--a 5488. The whole museum is fantastic!

Wow! I pass through there in I-80 several times a year, usually early or late in the day, I think I need to change my travel schedule to allow a stop!

Thanks for sharing Roy!

I was there last in 2010, it took me 3 hrs to get through it all and I see he has gotten more in there. When I was there I was told he wanted to build another building, well I think he needs to. Yes it is worth the trip if your an IH enthusiast!!
If your schedule allows, Walnut Iowa is 10 mins east of there, it is full of a lot nice antique shops. On fathers day weekend the town is hoppin with a big antique show and hundreds of vendors. It would be something for the women to do if they don't want to look a tractors. My wife liked both though.
