I believe the 384 is the one with 86 series style sheet metal, and the rear end of a B-414, 424, 444? If you can get it right, might be a good deal. Find out if the hydraulics were working properly, the hydraulic system on them is very touchy, everything has to be just so for it to work right and it takes someone familiar with it to fix it. I don't know much of anything about the engine, whether it is a descendant of the B-414 or not--I have heard the diesel in those tractors could be tricky as well.

I bought the 384 and the block is cracked if anyone can help find one I would appreciate it the engine is a BD 154 diesel it was used in the B275 B414 354 364 384 424 44 2424 and 2444 I only need the block but would consider a complete engine JP is checking to see what he has.

THANKS

Jim

As usual I am slow getting around to THANK people. I owe JP a big attaboy he had the block I needed along with a new set of sleeves the block had been boiled and magnafluxed and also PRIMED I called him and asked if paint was cheap in MO.he laughed and explained it was primed so it would not rust which I understood but it took me quite a while to get everything back to bare metal so everything would fit I didn't think a coat of primer would make that much difference I had to sand the inside of the block before the sleeves would go in I have it running and it may be a keeper.THANKS again JP.

How's that 384 working out? I am going to look at a 364 tomorrow, which is the model just before the 384.
