IH Mogul 10-20

Postby Bob McCarty » Sun Aug 30, 2015 8:40 pm

We had our big tractor show this weekend (247 tractors). The owner of the museum where we have the show brought out a 1916 Mogul 10-20 that hadn't been run since his dad parked it in the museum about 40 years ago. It was running in about 20 minutes, but quit with some fuel line clogging that was remedied. This afternoon, Doug started it up to drive back to the museum and asked me if I'd like to take it for a spin. It has one cylinder, the piston is 8.5" x 12". It was a fun drive, but I'd have to say that a long day on steel wheels would have you beat when you turned it off. Sorry, didn't have a camera there.

Bob

Edit: To clarify, the piston is 8.5" in diameter with a 12" stroke.

Not everyone has that claim to fame. Sounds like a ball.

Pretty neat Bob! We have a picture of my grandfather on one, my dad nor anyone else knows much about it, we didn't think to ask while he was alive. He did add a caption though. :D

We moved the Mogul back into the museum this morning. Doug said that he might try and bring out a 1913 Case crossmotor (sp?) next year. The oldest tractor in the museum.
