3414 SN- 599 what year is she

I am purchasing a used 3414 loader tractor I'm not sure of the year the SN is 599 as I stated in the title I'm not sure if the same rules apply with these BC IH's but I am trying g to chase down parts and wanna know the year if anyone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it. Also I would like to know all I can about this machine. Good and bad I mean everything so if some of you or one of you know something or everything let me know. I love getting IH education. I am possessed or something. I'm really got bit good. I guess the 140 did it. Here. Anyways I very much appreciate your time and energy, If only to read my post

It looks like yours is a 1962. These were pretty common machines and I believe the engines were used in many different IH tractors, so parts should be pretty common and easy to find. The hard things to find will be castings and structural parts, gas tanks, etc., but it is the same tractor as the International 414/424 (I believe) so most parts should be interchangable. The industrial tractors, for the most part, are farm tractors painted yellow, but they did add heavier front axles and sometimes heavier frame sections to make the industrial version of the tractor.

Thanks man I was figuring she was s little newer like 68 or so cause it seems to have a stock alt but I guess that doesn't mean anything though.. thank you again what type of fenders are on your machine I am looking for some flat top deluxe fenders for mine I see slot on eBay but I don't see any that are specially for the 3414. I was wondering if you or anyone else knew what other model fenders would bolt up to my 3414 a guy from a Farmall yard from Kansas is telling me that 706 brackets and fenders would bolt up to my 3414 industrial. But I wanna double check before I drop all that cash. They are not cheap. If any one on here can fabricate them contact me maybe we can work something out. Thanks

Sorry, didn't mean to mislead, but I don't own a 3414. I'm just able to find out information quickly, and grew up in an International dealership, so I'm familiar with most of the models.

It looks like the 3414 was available with either the standard fenders or flat fenders, maybe just depending on date of manufacture, or if it was a loader or backhoe tractor.





I would guess that many different model IH tractors used the same fenders, so I wouldn't be surprised if any of them would bolt up. I know my neighbor has an International 544 that he just restored and it has the flat fenders with headlights in them. The 544 is a similar size machine to the 3414, so I'd guess that all the fenders are interchangable.

Here is one lesson: If you are looking for parts, forget about year. Virtually all parts differences called out in the catalogs are based on serial numbers.
