Rechroming the letter/numbers

Postby ShawnAgne » Sat Jul 22, 2017 8:37 pm

The lettering, numbers, and TA plates don't look bad, but over the winter I'd like to rechrome them so they're all nice and shiny. Question is how do you remove them? I haven't pulled the hood off yet to look but thought better to ask first.

Very carefully.

The emblems are held on with metal clips that slip over studs cast into the back of the emblems. Those studs are VERY fragile, so you need to be ginger while getting the clips off.

Ginger in this case means very, very gentle.

...as opposed to someone with red hair and an excessive amount of freckles...

You know, we should take this show on the road.
