Pic of the H

Postby Trent M » Fri Aug 10, 2007 10:30 pm

I was in the barn the other day taking pictures for the main forum and thought I'd snap one of the H. Its a 1943, starts easy and runs great all day. I pull a 5' bush hog and a 7' JD JB disk harrow  with it. Hope you like it! :D

I wondered what was behind the cub. they're both nice tractors, I kind of like the cub with the current paint job. be nice to get the leaks dried up, how original is the paint?

It isn't really as pretty if you get a look at it close-up. It does run really well, though.

TexCub- I had been told the Cub had been repainted at some time, which George Willer confirmed (the decal is not correct). There has been some discussion on the main forum.

Ketcham- What does a Super H kit entail? Sounds like it would really wake up that engine!

Nice looking H Trent.

Several on the board own H Farmalls...Bigdog, John Puckett, and myself are a few. George Willer has two nice, WFE H Farmalls. He will have to post a pic of them.

Here is a pic of John's '41 H:

Here's a pic of me on my '45 H:

John's is beautiful. I like your's too Cub-Bud, and Bigdog's. I like 'em all! Mine looks a little naked without rear wheel weights. I have 2 sets of full ones and a set of split ones, just haven't put a set on yet. I bought one set to put on this H. I got one set with another H I bought, and have since sold, and I found 1 split weight at my Grandpa's and then found a guy who had 3 he was selling, so I just had to get them to make a set!!

John-

I remember reading about the EJP story. Those topics were posted soon after I had joined the forum. If memory serves, I think I remember another pic of your H sitting on the bare slab of your new shed also? That is a great story and shows how caring the members of this site really are. I am proud to now call myself a member. I can't wait to meet some of you all and I hope to make it to Cubarama.

BTW, I was searching through old posts a week or so ago and found the thread where everyone was congratulating you on your 1000th post! I have a lot of catching up to do to become proficient at tractor tinkering. I have a ways to go, but I am confident that I'll get there with the help of the members of farmallcub.com!!

Thanks again!
Trent McPeak

1000th post, man, you must have gone a ways back.

There will never be another tractor that looks as good to me as that H, both because it was my Dad's, and because of all the people on this board.
