need help identifying an H
well i got a new too me farmall H, for dirt cheap. and now i need help finding out what year it was made in and why all the pics i see of H's are v wheeled and mine is a row type tractor like my 47 A.. any ways the vin is 326407x1 and i need help identifying it! thanks alot

This chart, courtesy of TractorData (http://www.tractordata.com/farm-tractors/000/2/9/290-farmall-h.html), shows the 1st serial number for each year.
(i.e. if your serial number is 12345, then the tractor would be a 1940.
H Serial Numbers:
Location: Transmission housing on left
1939: 501
1940: 10653
1941: 52387
1942: 93237
1943: 122091
1944: 150251
1945: 186123
1946: 214820
1947: 241143
1948: 268991
1949: 300876
1950: 327975
1951: 351923
1952: 375861
1953: 390500

Based on the chart Roy provided your H is a 49 model. The wide front end was an option and was popular in some areas. It could have been delivered with the wide front axle or changed later.
