When I bought My H, someone cut the hood to allow for the alternator. I am going to get the right brackets for the altenator and another hood.
Anyone know what size fan belt I will need when I roll the altenator in towards the valve cover?
Where can I get brackets for my Delco altenator already made?
Anyone know someone with a decent hood for sale?

The same belt used for the original generator will also work for the alternator. The belt part number is 48878D. Do an internet search.
Likewise, the original generator bracket, turned upside down, will put that alternator right up there where you want it, but you will also need to use a Hitachi? alternator. That alternator is smaller in diameter and will fit, whereas the Delco 10si or similar will NOT fit under the hood.
