We've seen other abuses of Farmall Parts - here is the first one I've seen of an H. Makes me sad - as my H could really use this part when I get around to restoring it. Photo is from the public domain on FaceBook.

Abuse? How is this abuse? Looks very well taken care of to me. And the grill looks good to.

I don't think those lights are supposed to be where they are.

My opinion, for what it's worth. In hedgerows and in the bushes there are thousands of Farmalls oxidizing away. At least this one's inside. I have a few pieces of Farmall.furniture that I've made. I never cut or drill holes in anything. The shiny polished look is not for me. Mine are in their work clothes. If ever I decided to. the pieces could go back on a tractor. But for now. they're plant stands, printer stands, end tables. etc.

I agree! As long as they aren't sent off to become soup cans I'm glad to see them used.

Kind of hard to do when I'm posting from my phone, at work !!! One of these days I will take some pictures. My favorite of all time is my 450 printer stand.

Certainly no disrespect to the original poster of this thread. I know what he's saying, this appears to be a ritzy restaurant, and those pieces used in the restaurant are no longer available, and the use of them does increase demand, which could increase the price that a farmer would have to pay for that part.

I don't feel too guilty, because if I bought a 450 and it needed a grille, it's ready to go !!!

if it were a rare tractor, i would hate to see that, but the H and M were the two most popular/common tractors in the IH lineup, followed by the cub.

In this mad rush to preserve parts, we're overlooking something else that's going to the scrapyard: Repair skills.

We're so quick to throw away a perfectly good grille because it's a little banged up and broken. Hey, why not try to bang it back into shape, weld it up, and use it?

First thought your post was tongue-in-cheek; now I'm thinking you're serious. Either way, I would rather a restaurant decorate with IH pieces/parts than any other... :D

Yup, was serious - Am glad their not making Korean cars with the parts, but perhaps Green would have matched their plants better and I don't restore Green tractors - so I should never need those parts. :D

The easy solution to this problem is to sneak in and grab the grill. Replace it with a like size JD part. Chances are the tractor unkowing people working there will never notice it.

Imagine my surprise, when I walked into the restaurant at Young's Jersey Dairy, at Yellow Springs, OH, yesterday and was staring at this scene. I had no idea this pic was from there! Although I've driven by this place many times, this is the first time eating there, the food was really good!

I think Mike Duncan (IntoTractors)< Bigdog, and Denny have eaten there before. I missed out on that mini-fest.
