Passenger Bench Seat

Postby oldfarmkid » Thu Jan 18, 2018 11:08 am

Hello all, have viewed some videos of farmalls in a road run or in a parade. Have seen views of tractors passing by the camera with a passenger behind the driver on some type of bench seat. Working on a 1940 - H, and have worked out all the bugs to get it running well and only quits when I shut off the ignition. I'm wanting to participate in a couple local parades, and would like to add some type of above mentioned bench seat so someone could ride with me and toss candy out to the kids. Does anyone have a photo of the back view of a tractor with a bench seat attached? Doesn't need to be an H model.

Thanks
:tractor:

Here's a side-by-side one my relatives had made for the Mackinac Bridge crossing this year (thus the life preservers added as a joke). Was built by Eastland Fabrication in Lanark, IL. It was built to be easily removed and changed back to stock configuration.

Thanks Urbish, Thats a fancy setup. Have a friend I'd like to take along in a parade thats just hit 87 years of age. Think he would enjoy the steps. Any more out there, interested in seeing what others have come up with, even if its not an H.

Take Care

Anyone who builds a two seater based on a farmall seat pedastel has never been in that seat when it failed occupied by just one person. That's farthest 12 inches you will ever drop in your life.

As a mechanical engineer, I questioned the soundness of the approach as well. But they seem to be happy with it. The steps were a nice touch for a parade-only tractor.
