Steering column support

Postby Tractor Rod » Tue Feb 22, 2022 10:22 pm

:lost:

I have bought two steering support columns for my “B”
And both of them don’t fit. Both people who sold me the item believes they sold me the correct column but when one is laid on top of the other they don’t match. I even took measurements on both and they don’t match.

Anybody ever ran across this problem or knows how to recognize the right one when trying to place an order? Seems like a strange question but if you don’t get the right column it won’t work properly with the angle of the steering rod and steering wheel.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks.

My guess is they sold you one for a A.

The steering gear box on a B or BN is different that the A

Thanks for your response and I have attached two pictures. The correct one is approximate 20 inches tall and the bend is 10 1/2 inches. The two I’ve received are 24 inches tall and the bend is 8 1/2 inches approximately.

I am sure you were right that it probably came off of an a or something else but I don’t have access to them to compare them side by side. Thanks again.
