I don't know if this is what it is called but I'll try to describe it. My brother-in-law has a B that has a lift system the appears to run off the exhaust. He is not sure if all the parts are there. Does anyone have pix of anything like this or know where I can find them. That is If I am talking about the right thing. I figure if I help him with this I might have a better chance of weaseling him out of...I mean dealing with him on getting that buzz saw/stationary engine he has sitting around collecting rust.

Bill - I believe Cub-Bud recently rebuilt an exhaust lift for his B. I think Jim Becker also may have the information you are looking for.

I have yet to complete mine....Jim Becker and Phil Lenke (PWL) each have operational exhaust lifts.

Thanks John, that shuold be exactly what my bil needs. I am much appreciative. Even more so if he would relinquish ownership of that engine I keep eyeing.

I have a manual but I don't know if it is the older or newer style, I also have some pictures from Red Power a few years back on a nice setup, but not the vertical lift... I'v been wanting to put mine together to maybe use with the JD #5 mower to lift, but haven't had the time to put all the parts together, my exhaust valve needs some work anyways...
Phil, I like the way yours looks, are those nylon "washers" there on the valve/arm?

Phil, how did you get the shaft coming out of the bowl to seal well? or was it just a good fit? I have mine on the tractor, just not really hooked up to anything, and it leaks like crazy around the shaft. I was thinking of just putting some of that 2 part putty type exhaust epoxy in there, then putting it together and moving the shaft, then take it back apart and wait for it to harden, or just braze it up a bit then machine it down...?
