I need some basic information. A friend of mine is going Monday to look at a Farmall B with belly mower. The owner used last mowing season. I do not know anything about it. Don't know if it uses oil, has any welds, condition of tires, condition of mower or the brand of mower. He would like a ball park figure of a Farmall B, probably in well used condition. would be worth. I have no other info on the tractor. Thanks.

Hi Billy
I bought a 1946 B earlier this year that is show ready except for a couple of oil leaks for 2,900.00. I saw a few that were in restorable condition from 1500 to 2000. They seem to vary in price depending on where they are. Here in NC they are just a few and the price seems a little higher.

Hope that helps some.

Thanks B.J for the reply. I told him, based on cub prices, that condition, location, and implements, all had a bearing on the price. There are not too many B around here either, but I figured $1500 and up for one.

Whenever I see a B or BN with a belly mower for sale, the owner is pretty proud of it. They're usually asking $3000 and up for an unrestored tractor that needs work.

Thanks Matt, I have not been able to get up with the guy I was asking about the tractor for to see if he went to check it out or if he came home with it. If he got it, I will try to pry the price out of him and post back.

He did get the B and gave $1100 for it. It was used during mowing season last year to keep up vacant lots the owner had. Runs and cuts good he said.
