Newest Addition!

Postby treesitter » Tue Mar 12, 2019 2:23 pm

Greetings all. I've been an off and on user of the forum for several years but not on a regular basis. Unfortunately it would seem it is only when I have a problem or undertaking a project. Or in this case, sharing fun news with a group of people who I know will be more congratulatory than my "group' at home. I had a 1949 M delivered a couple days ago- free tractor and free delivery! Can hardly beat that, except with the fact it is a 'family tractor' and the family member who had it has to relocate to another state and can only take so many of his collection with him. I was more than happy to accept his most generous offer and he was thrilled it was going to a good home and stay in the family. It runs good, generator not charging correctly and many other various things of course. But it runs, tin is good and will make a nice restoration project for my son for 4-H in a few years. Although Dad won't be able to wait that long and may start this weekend! It also arrived on my son's birthday! So I'm saying it's "his", just like the C arriving on Mother's Day several years ago, so it's "hers". I have a feeling my daughter will be 'getting' an H in the coming years. Dog might need one too.

All she did when she first saw it was stand there looking at it, shaking her head,
while my buddy and I stood there drinking beer, grinning over my fine purchase.

Yes, congrats! Free is always nice, especially from another family member.

There's several Farmall M manuals available in the PDF Manuals section. Thanks for sharing the story and picture.

Congratulations! But there is no free when it comes to tractors! You’ll need this and that and before you know it you’ll have dropped a grand into a “free” tractor.
