Denny Clayton wrote:Five or six years ago was the last time I bought a battery for what was my dad's Super M, I priced Groups 1 and 2 after I heard the price for a Group 3. I think it was something like $50, $75 and $100 at NAPA. I went with the Group 2 but had been using a Group 1 for several years before that. This was with an M & W power kit installed quite some time ago and the Group 1 got the job done.

Your M looks great and the hood grill and tank look amazing. I think I would be afraid to let anyone touch that if it was mine since it is so nice.

Can't beat an old M that looks new again. Are you going to bore out the engine?
Dad did an M years ago and bored her out. As a kid with model airplane experience I was chosen among my 4 brothers to put on all the new M decals. She looked and drove like new and lasted the new owner over 20 years and was still running good. By the way she had lots of snort to.

The engine was bored from 3 7/8 to 4 inch have step pistons in, from what I can tell it would rival the super M . right
When I look back at the pictures of the first day to where it is today , I am amazed that it took over 2 yrs to complete. where did the time go/
It did get me through 2 winters with something to do in the evenings.
Now the shows

They say that a Super M has a little more HP than a bored out M but dont quote me.
