Farmall Cub

Here is some pictures of the M that I want to buy. At first glance, the tires don't look bad, but there is a big cut on the inside firewall of the left rear tire.

Also I have drawn a blue arrow at the round object there on the side. It has a leak there. The tractor doesn't seem to have a bunch of leaks, but I did notice this one is leaking pretty good.










So what do you think, Is it worth the 1295.00 asking price? It cranks up and seems to run ok. No smoke.

The area with the leak is the brake drum area. It's probably just a seal but I don't know how hard it is to change that one. It's a shame they hacked the hood up but I guess that can be dealt with. Around here that would be a $1000 tractor max.

Right rear tire appears to be worn out. Add in the price of tires and tubes.

Used tractor tires. My opinion. The seller normally wants close enough to the new price not to justify their purchase.

I'd also agree with Big Dog, $1,000.00 tops. Dang shame they cut that hood, completely unnecessary on an M. Rubber will set you back the price of the tractor and the hood will cost you better than $200.00

I will agree with the others, except that I would only go $800 tops with it needing rear tires. Rear tires for that thing will run $350 to $500 each, depending on type and how lucky you are. That seal can be changed with common hand tools, but is normally really tight in housing.
