Yep, that's how it's done. I have gotten out of jams using them split a few times when it's been wet in the barnyard.

That's a neat looking loader too

I think he's done that more than 1 time.

Works the same way in mud if you don't dig your self in.

that's how I drive year round, unless I'm goin on the road, been stuck plenty of times, even while using the steering brakes they do wok well in deep snow with a narrow front end and big bucket like that...

I've done that many a time plowing snow. Even did it a time or two at the Tug!

Survival of the fittest? I long ago decided that if you start locking dogs up you will always have to keep them locked up. Mine learn to avoid moving vehicles by a wide berth. This can be reinforced by using a shock collar. One of the few great uses I've found for shock collars.
