Farmall Cub

Does anyone know where i can find information on how to hook up hydraulics to a 1947 Farmall M? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

May I first suggest you make a trip to your local CaseIH dealer and pickup a set of manuals. Some of the best reading around. They can answer 99% of all questions, many with pics.
Assuming you have the liftall belly pump, most generally the right side port is used for most applications. One of the L/H ports has a delay built in when raising the cultivators. What are you trying to accomplish with the hydraulics?

I am pretty sure that I have a belly pump but not for sure. I am trying to run hydraulics so i can lift a plow and a disc.

Thanks for the replys i have a belly pump so should i just connect hoses to the two left ports? Also which is the return and which is preasure? Thanks for the offer Jball8019 but its a little too far and i dont think i could find time.

No, not the left-the right port. You don't have 2-way unless you have the 2-way special valve. Standard setup is 1-way. Only one hose goes out to the cylinder. If the cylinder is a 2-way you put a vent cap on typically the ram end but it depends on how your cylinder is set up. I sold earlier this year a complete setup for 2-way on a belly pump. Best thing to do is convert to live as Willer showed. Totall cost to convert is about $300.00. not including hoses or any valves.

I agree with bill you gotta check first on what you have. the 3pt hitch setup thats on the m is one way it doesnt have the live pump. i gotta find my damned usb cable for my camera so i can take pics of the cylinder and hoses for you. Rudi, if youre reading this... you spoiled all of us with your site on the cub info, do you think you can expand it to accomodate other models??
