Looking good there Dusti. I love unstyled tractors. It kind of reminds me of my '29 Regular. I can't wait to see it done. :{_}:

I do as well Ricky...especially when it comes to not have to fool with prepping all the fancy sheetmetal for paint :) Seriously though, something about them that I find graceful, and yet very simple.

I have that '29 still sitting in the shed, haven't done a thing to it except bathing it down in used motor oil ever so often. I've also managed to get my hands on a '28 from an adjoining farm. I hope to have one of them done by the time they turn 100, and considering how rough they it may take that long.

I think next I'm gonna be after an unstyled standard tread tractor, thinking a 10-20. Of course once I get this one done and get some funds built back up I'd jump on a runnin' Regular, F-20 or F-30 if I go the chance.

A couple more pictures from the weekend and this evening...

I wanted the optional tall air intake stack for this tractor, been looking for one since last summer. Finally decided to make my own...

Fuel tank after a couple coats of primer, probably need a couple more coats and some more wet sanding to get it the way I want it...

Serial number tag refurbished and mounted on the front fuel tank support...

Haven't posted anything to this thread in months. It's been a long year. This tractor has taken more work than any I've ever done before. For what I thought was going to be a quick easy job, it's turned into a real mess. Anyway...here's how it sets now. Still a few odds and ends to finish up. Some surgery coming up in a week or so, so it'll probably be sitting just as it is for the next month or so.

Just thought I'd post a final picture. Finished it up last weekend. Ready for the 2015 Got To Be NC Festival in Raleigh NC next weekend. My F12 will be the feature tractor of IHCC Chapter 37's State Show this year.

As well it should be. I know you put a lot of hard (and extra) work in on this one, but DANG! if it don't look great!!! Fantastic job, Dusti!! Take a break and enjoy this one before tackling the next one... :coffee:

I'm gonna have to Stanton...this one broke the bank. :) Took longer than any I've ever done. I was out of the shop for most of the winter, recovering from hand surgery.

I ordered myself a new gooseneck so I can haul multiple tractors. Gonna take the next year or two and just enjoy hauling around all my junk and not get bogged down in another major project for a while.

Wish I were coming to Sedalia for the Gray Power. Unfortunately vacation time and money just won't allow...

I hear ya. You ought to get some nice compliments wherever you show that F-12.
