I was given the OK to post this here......SPEC CAST has announced plans to build a large range of FARMALL CUB and INTERNATIONAL CUB Lo-Boy tractor replicas in 1/16 scale. These die cast units will have detailed chassis and engine, steerable front axle and include a CUB implement.

The list includes all of the chassis/grille variations and many CUB implements/attachments. The implement/attachment list includes:
mounted planter, cultivator, fast hitch plow and disc harrow, center mounted disc plow and model 1000 1-arm loader.

A white demonstrator CUB is planned to be made also.

Photos will be posted when they become availible. The first model in the series (48-54 FARMALL CUB w/ wire mesh grille & mounted planter w/ fertilizer tank) should be availible in October 2008.

Nice!

I still want my precision Ertl Farmall Cub, but I'll take a spec-cast anyday!

I cast all the rock guards for my sickle bar, did them in pewter, now I am cutting out the sickle knives, and casting the inner shoe. I'll finally have a tractor that deserves to wear the mower when it is done!

Put me down for a case, if they come 12 to a case.

Sweet!

Any idea of the prices?

If SpecCast's John Deere LA with sickle bar mower is any indication of what they will do with the cub, then I am excited. The price is about $42 for the John Deere LA.

Look at the attention to detail with the steering column, how it is closer to scale than Ertl. The wheels are closer to scale and more detail. IT is a far superior model. Ertl built their's based on a toy that would be played with. This is not built for play, but more for big kids like us. 8)

So Far, they have done a plain John Deere LA, an LA with a one row corn planter, and an LA with a sickle bar mower. All of them are reasonably priced for the quality you get.
