SpecCast Farmall Cub

Postby bamabww » Mon Aug 22, 2011 1:50 am

I've looked / googled and can't find a 1/16th scale model of a Farmall Cub 1953 style. Found several of the Bar grill models but nothing earlier without an implement attached. Anybody know where / if one exists?

Wayne:

It isn't complete yet by any stretch but I have been working on All About Collecting Miniature Cubs. I haven't gotten the Spec Cast list completed yet but I am working on it. Spec Cast pretty much has built their Cub collection around Cubs and the Implements that go with them which really is a first. The only one who really did much of that was a custom builder who does nice work. ERTL hasn't really done that yet and probably won't now that Spec Cast has. If you want to collect the different 1/16th miniatures without implements then the Ertl ones are the ones to get. :eBay: is a real good source for inexpensive units however as with all things on eBay, depends on who sees the auction as to what the final price will be. Prices will range from $9.99 to $100.00 each .. yup... the range can be that wide. I have been collecting them for about 4 or 5 years now and they can get pricey which is why I really pay attention to them. I even had specific search strings for them. Right now there is really nothing on :eBay: for the Cub Miniatures, but that could change in the next little while. Usually it is cyclical. I also checked the complete listings and there has been nothing in the last 30-60 days

This is the #689 1st Edition Ertl Cub:

Suggest you post a want in the Wanted Cub Items in the Site Classifieds which is where folks who have them will be looking for guys who want em. That is the proper forum for that type of request.

Try 3000 toys. I don't know what a 53 looks like but they have one that looks a lot like my 51. But it has a planter on it. $62.90 and is a spec-cast.

Edit: Is there a 1/64 cub out there? Manfacturer doesn't matter. My toy train is S scale. Lots of tractors but so far not a cub.

Vern:

I think there is. They are in France - I will go back and look on :eBay: and then provide the link. I saw at least 3 last week.

Brendan, I highly doubt you will ever see the price of Spec cast or Ertl drop. The spec cast are made with great detail and worth the price. You used to be able to pick up Ertil on Ebay for less than $20.00 that was a while ago theough.

Joe is right. Spec Cast's reflect their quality which is simply amazing. The cheapest I have seen a Spec Cast offered is $39.99 - SpecCast FARMALL 450 Cub lo-boy tractor ON SALE!!. Since Em and I are headed to CubFest Northeast in NY, getting any more at this particular point in time is not going to happen. Gonna have to save me pennies.

there 59.00$ on outbacktoy's they have the best price for them HaHa
