Name this part

Postby CTdave » Tue Jun 12, 2018 5:17 pm

Hi all....
I am with a bunch of people and nobody knows what these are. The person who sold them at a flea Market said they came from a farm. The paint sure looks like Farmall red to me and if so, this would be the place with the right people to figure it out.
So, any guesses?

If you swap one of them end for end will the loops hook it together? Maybe use 4 of them to form a complete circle, such as some kind of portable chute for unloading silos?
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

Someone else thought a chute for something. I was going along the path of fold down sides to a specialty wagon/transport device. Someone else said fold up seats but it their not the right curve for an average butt.
These are going to air on HGTVs Flea Market Flip where I'm one of four craftsmen who help people fix up/reinvent stuff they buy at a flea Market. We just don't know what the hell they are!

I guess thye could be "bang boards, but all the ones I have seen were flat. For those of you that have never hand picked corn, bang boards were fold down extensions on the side of the wagon, and the ones opposite the side you were picking on were raised so you did not have to worry about how accurate your throw was.

I don't mean to suggest that it is trash, but this was a creative way to repurpose a similar product.
