I am quite sure it is not the frame for a butterfly net for my kids made them and they were round or nearly so. Doesn't look like the frame for a minnow scoop either. A fish tank net or scoop it doesn't look like either. It certainly isn't the shape of a gingerbread cookie cutter either. I guess I still am not old enough. Never saw one in my life before. 2nd pic it looks a totally different thing. I will be keeping tabs on this so I can be enlightened as to what it really is.
