Cob Cadet mower deck, Torsion Spring.

Postby hatchet » Fri Jun 08, 2018 7:58 am

Hello all , hope everyone is having a good Spring mowing season.
I have a Cub Cadet 127. Every thing was going alright for me until last week when my torsion spring broke. The IH part number is 486361 R1 .
This is a 3 spindle , 48 inch rotary mower deck.
I can't find one local, is there a place I can order one from or does anyone know an after market part number I could order to replace it.

Thanks in advance.

IH, Cub Cadet, New Holland dealership will be able to get the spring. Just take in you IH part number.

If you have the deck model number, pasted on top left end of the deck, you may find the spring from several sources on the internet.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Thanks Eugene, we used to have a New Holland dealer in town but they were replaced with Mihindra. I'll google for the nearest one. That's a good idea about the mower plate number. The guy I bought it from said he didn't think it was the original deck. Thanks again!

I searched that part # on Messicks and it said no longer available. Hopefully you can find one or something that is close.

Broke two a few months ago.

Is this the spring, there were several types depending on the deck?
