LT 1046 mower deck anomaly’s

Postby mikes5785 » Tue Oct 30, 2018 3:19 am

I have an LT1026 that’s giving me a bit of a problem. I can be mowing in a forward direction and suddenly the mower deck will shut down. I can turn the key and press the button to be able to mow in both forward and reverse directions and it will run as long as I want it to.

What may be causing the deck to shut off on a whim

Thanks

My guess: the safety sensor that stops the deck when you shift to reverse is faulty. My LT 1050 will stop when I shift to reverse (as it should) but not every time. I usually leave the ignition in the run/reverse position but mine does not have a button for reverse mowing. I might have a wiring diagram if you need one. Send me a PM if you want it (if I can find it). EDIT: I think the push button is there but has been bypassed by the PO. 2nd EDIT: I do have a pdf troubleshooting file of the electrical system that I can send via email if you PM me an address. Stan
