I recently acquired a later model CC 2166 like this one and no information about lubrication. Is Hy Tran the preferred lube for the transmission? TKS.

This is from the Cub Cadet 2166 Operator's Manual. Cub Cadet Drive System Fluid Plus is not Hy-Tran. Many say that Rotella-T 15w-40 works fine.

Internet search for "cub cadet drive system fluid plus equivalent".

Above, some discussions for less expensive alternative oils.
