NOISEY 1710 HYDRO

i have a model 1710 hydro, this puppy is noisey,by this i mean the hydro tranny. i change fluid no change ,took it to the local dealer for him to listen to it he says "nature of the beast" anybody else have this problem

Some hydro's do have more whine than others but all have some noise. Did you find any metal chips or shavings in the bottom when you changed the oil? I would use it as long as it keeps moving. I had an old Jacobson gear tranny that was loud but I used it for 2 years and never got louder and is probably still whining.

no metal fluid look great as well,just annoying,runs real well its just after abought an hour or so of mowing when your done i still hear the dang thing in my ears without it running.

My 1864 with only 135 hours on it is pretty whiny too. Since it increases a bit when the power steering is turned, I can only assume it's pump noise.

No issues. Works fine. Just whines a bit.
