Nice Ralph... the guy I bought my last Cub from does Cadets, he has a pair for his twin sons that they are working on.

What suprised me is that the transmission is EXACTLY the same as a Cub.

I have a few offers from people who want to sell me there cub cadet and i'm not sure wether to collect them too? I can have a 7hp, a 10hp and a 12hp right away. I think cub cadets are neat but i never had any seat time on one but i do need a smaller tractor than my international cub 154 to mow inbetween and around the christmas trees the 154 is too big for that. Plus i can get the misses to mow the grass too(maybe). So the bottomline is are cub cadets worth collecting too?

Cub cadets - especially the IH cub cadets are very collectable.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

 Warning collecting and working on these can cause you to catch Yellow & White Fever. No Known cure.

The only cure is to "BUY" more!!!! I have been there with other hobbies too so collecting is catchy.... I wanted to get farmalls and more 154/184 cubs and the cub cadets are showing up so my collecting direction is changing already and i haven't even started yet.

Ralph how can you sell them? I find it hard to part with anything there like the family dog once they have been here for a while they just grow roots.

Hey Ralph if you put some chicken sh!t under the tires on a cub cadet will it grow into a 154 cub? (kidding)

My son is impressed with the cub cadet and how heavy the attachments are made. I told him there are lawn tractors but these are garden tractors there a little heavier made so they can take the abuse.

Bill
at my shop they are treated as patients when they come in .
if they have a pulse i try to see that they get a second chance.
if they are beyond help they become parts doners
and one machine can make many more run to keep the legend alive

Hey BigBill...I have 1 Cub Cadet (Model 73 from 1971) & 1 John Deere 112 (that I have been the 2nd. owner of since 1979). I end up getting MORE seat time on these two now a days then my 1948 McCormick-Deering Farmall Cub ! BOTH of these little lawn & garden tractors are so durable and so simplistically well built that they CAN'T BE BEAT by ANY of today's so-called "garden tractors" The ONLY thing that keeps me from BUYING more of these little "gems" is that my garage IS FULL, and can't HOLD ANOTHER ANYTHING !
