I bought my holy grail today....

Postby BigBill » Thu Aug 30, 2007 8:32 pm

The cub cadet gods are good to me today, I found something i thought i never would find in my lifetime anyway. Its kind of my cub cadet holy grail....it don't take much to make me happy.....just ask my wife...

Its a complete cub cadet tiller #2 or 2B i'm not sure but it has the larger driven pulley on the tiller like in the pics were the #1 doesn't have it......

I found an orginal international cub cadet rear tiller setup!!!!!!!! I believe its around 42" wide and it has the lower drive unit that goes on the rear tranny cover that gets power from the Pto/mule drive in the front. I hope to find some info in it so I can see if i need anything else for it. It came with a center part for the manual 3pt cadet hitch. I already have a 3pt hitch on one of my cub cadets(122). My cub cadet 100 has a creeper tranny already so i have my tractor picked out already. My health is pretty bad and i can't walk behind a tiller now. My walk behind tiller will go to my son since he helps me out all the time.

I need to find some info on it now. I have the long belt that drives the rear gear box but i need a belt number for the small belt for rear that drives from the rear gear box to the tiller. This doesn't look like a micky mouse setup too it looks serious... I paid the guy $150 did i do ok?

The guy also has 3 cub cadets and a nice 127. He swears by cub cadets too as to what work horses they are.

Sorry but i have to clean the sh!t off my shoes because i must have stepped in something today...I got really lucky...without the casino.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.

The 2B has the 5/8" tine belt and there is a difference on the height adjustment. You are probably missing the belt guide that are shown on the loooong belt pictures. There's one for HYDRO and GEAR. most people don't use them. It really is to much tiller for the 70 and that's why I like the #! or IA tillers as you can remove the 2 outside tines if in tough soil.

Here is the installation manual

The Geezer from IHregistry.com which crashed and is now Cub Cadet Collectors.

I have two cub cadets with creepers one is my 108 which is going to get a 14hp engine soon and the other is my cc100. I found out i'm missing the mule drive but i have two complete mower decks for parts if need be with mule drives. I'm starting a cub cadet junk yard too a little at a time just enough to keep my tractors/attachments running.

I just got an idea since i'm missing some lifting parts even though i could fabricate them I may look into adding hydraulics to lift and lower the tiller anyway it would be more controllable to position it depth wise with a double acting cylinder.(just a thought so the misses could run it "maybe" in the future) But i would like to see it on and all hooked up and running before I strip it down to clean it up and paint it. What color were these, were they cub cadet beige or cub cadet white?(off white) It would look too bad being cub cadet yellow too. Then i need that big "INTERNATIONAL" decal that goes across the rear guard. I also need to restore my 100 cub cadet too before any work starts on the tiller. I think it will be one purdy tractor when its all assembled and cleaned up with new paint.

Sorry about sounding off too early about the hydraulics after looking at the manual it seems I have most of the parts for lifting it. I have a 3pt hitch too cat0 on my 122 cadet that i'm not using. But i want to make sure the misses can operate too just incase i pass on to the next life...if there are no tractors there i'll be back....just kidding..

This tiller is sure going to make my garden much bigger so i can plant more corn for the deer and the other animals too, they have to eat too.
