107 wiring ?

Postby oldiron29 » Sun May 16, 2010 4:38 pm

I just pulled in a cub cadet 107 (no head lights on this model) with wiring issues. All the wire running to voltage reg was fryed so I am tracing wires to see where they come from and where they go. The key switch has a broke ground contact so I pulled the plug and made a jumper and got it running.
A)Should field on reg show votlage when running?
B)The bat. on reg should be Hot and it is not. correct?
C) will not idle. I think carb need good cleaning?
D) When running at high speed it does not run smooth RPM seems to be flotting up and down could this be govener spring setting?
Any help thanks Oldiron29

Above, located at top of Cadet page. Go to IH Cadet Resources, then to manuals and or wiring diagrams.

Bat terminal on regulator should be hot. The surging at high RPMs could be a low fuel flow - so clean and adjust the carb first.
