This is what Mark has. As you can see it is all pretty well shot. To me the simplest is to get the whole assembly. Since I have never done one of these before, it is out of my skillset so I am going to hope for a plug and play solution. Anyone got the part # for the assembly? The one on Outdoor Distributor is for the pull start and not electric start. Will try and get a serial number off of his tonight.

Must be special ordered - not stocked in Canada. May take 2-4 weeks to get. And $15.00 shipping. If parts are not availabe at the same time then it is $15.00 shipping each
Rip off. Ordered parts will more than likely come on the same truck with normal stockage and out of the same warehouse.

Local NAPA store went out of business a few month ago. They got me once on the shipping charge, only once.

Peter:

I see that... the generator coils are NLA and that sucks. I wonder what the specs for that are and if they can be wound? Must check with Madsen and with ... oh what is his name.. Paul Bell knows him well... ahhh got it.. Ray Weaver. He should have something maybe. Will keep looking......... any and all help is greatly appreciated. Will check with Joe's Outdoor as well.

I also wonder can some other model alternator/magneto could be substituted.

Not in bad shape at all for an 30 year old rider. Seat needs to be re-done in white, rims need paint and of course a few scratches etc. Engine needs a bit of work and of course the Alternator/Magneto.

My main objective would be to get the motor running, this summer. If I am successful, I will probably break it down this winter for a paint job. Nice little tinker toy.
