Good Morning,
Recently found a 1973 Model 129 Cub. Was running flawlessly until......
Was mowing the lawn and heard a noise under the hood. The back cooling shroud had rubbed through the mesh screen. It went into various pieces and the "old Gal" stoppped! Now I have nothing. No ammeter indication and not even a groan from the starter. I can turn the engine as it appears to be free. Any guidance, recommendations or magic cures.
I paid nothing for the girl. A garage find. The most I have in it is the starter/generator was rebuilt last year.
Thanks All and Carpe Diem!!

The wiring harnes clips to the shroud. Guessing a piece of the screen has cut one or more of the wires in the harnes.

Welcome to the forum!!!!!!!! This is where the Guru's hang out.....
Does this 129 have the cut out safety switch on the attachment handle? We do need to push the brake down to start the hydro's too right? There is a cut out switch there too?
I'm no guru but i earned my wings already. BB
