How hard is it to change a tractor to deck belt on a 2165 with a 46" mower?
Thanks in advance

Re: 2165 beltShould only take you a couple of minutes, and no tools at all. First look to see how the old belt runs, what it goes around. If it is already gone, don't worry about it. The deck has a lever that releases tension on the center pulley. Once that is released, just lift the belt off the center pulley, and pull it out through the engine compartment (with the hood open on the tractor), straight up. You won't get the new belt back on that way though. Lay the new belt on the ground under the tractor. Push one end up from the bottom, looping up over the PTO pulley. Run the other end back onto the center pulley on the mower. Re-apply tension by pulling and hooking the lever on the deck. Now look closely to make sure that the belt is not touching anything except pulleys. If it is, take it back off and re-route so that it does not touch anything. Literally, it should not take you longer than it just took you to read this post. They are very simple.
