replace mower belt

Postby jim turner » Tue Aug 09, 2011 10:28 am

I have a 1450 Cadet erial#609805 with a 44A mower deck, it had a mule drive belt #59971 on it , but the PTO bearing and clutch was destroied, so now the belt is too short, so I found a used belt #HT465C1 that seems to fit, but the closet # I can come up with is 117465C1 would that be the replacement belt, or what belt do I need

Thanks for any help

I don't understand how a belt got too short after the PTO clutch and bearing was destroyed, but the IH Belt Manual I have list P/N 59 701 C1 for the deck spindle drive belt, and for the mule drive (PTO to deck) belt it list 2 different part numbers, depending on the serial number of the deck and tractor. If the deck S/N is 81741 and below and is on tractor S/N 530,000 and above, used belt # 117 465 C1. If the deck S/N is 81742 and above, use belt #59 971 C1.

Read it close, it is confusing.
