Non-adjustable lift link for 50GT deck

Postby Tom Evans » Thu Jun 20, 2013 2:25 pm

I've got a 1975 1650 with a 50GT model 359 mower deck. The deck has been rebuilt but it hangs low on the left side. Looking at the mower manual, I appear to have 2 adjustable links on the deck, and I should have a non-adjustable link on the left as sitting on the mower. Does anyone have the dimensions for this link so I can make one, or are they still available?
Thanks,
Tom E.

You can use the adjustable link just fine. No reason to switch to the fixed link, as it will actually hinder your ability to level the deck. Also, double check that the mower mule drive/hanger/subframe is not bent or broken. The cross bar often breaks at the weld near the rear hanger holes, and lets one side hang lower than the other. I just re-welded one last week as a matter of fact.

Gitractorman,
Thanks for the help. I'll check it out tomorrow.
