108 cadet shaft keeps spinning when clutch pressed

Symptom is slowly getting worse it seems. Any advise on what to look for? simple adjustment?

I had one that was doing this. Sprayed a little PB Blaster on the shaft in the clutch area (not on the clutch disc). Also the clutch was not releasing as it was sticking on the shaft a little. Not sure what to call each part. A little oil freed it up and it quit sticking. It was sticking so bad that each time you tried to shift gears it wouid grind a lot. Works good now. This tractor sat outside a lot so things rusted up a bit.
