My tractor has a gas gauge that is integral with the gas cap. However, the clear plastic cover has severe crazing (multitude of small cracks), which makes it difficult to read the gauge. I could live with this but the cover keeps popping out of the gas cap.
Is there a replacement for this clear plastic cover available?
I see that there are complete gas gauge assemblies available for my tractor. Any recommendations?

Cub Cadet 782 gas gauge parts diagram/number here: http://www.partstree.com/parts/?lc=cub_ ... 0028600031
Can't remember where I bought mine, but was the same as this one on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss? ... as%20gauge
Fit perfect. The dial face is different, which I didn't like, but at least I could read it thru clear plastic (mine had hazed over).
Hope this helps.
P.S. WARNING: A new gas gauge will not necessarily cause fuel consumption to decrease, you'll just be able to clearly see how fast it goes down.
