Cub Cadet No. 1 Yard Cart

Saw an auction advertised for last Saturday in a town about 20 miles away. Sale bill mentioned "IH Yard Cart." Same day we were supposed to attend the IHC Chapter #1 Christmas dinner in a town about 100 miles away. Have been keeping an eye open for one and low and behold the day one comes up at an auction, I have to be somewhere else! :x What to do? Why not both?

We drove to the auction and checked it out. Had a lot of nice old things, including an International 184 and a Cub Cadet 100 with front blade and deck (rear weights too). Found the Cub Cadet yard cart. CC built them like their tractors; to last. Looked it over when we arrived and was in great shape. No rust through, light surface rust, tilt-bed handle worked, and original decals and tires. Caught up with the auctioneer and left an opening bid, a top bid, and contact info, then left. Went to the dinner and had a good time, then on the return trip home, decided to stop off at the auction around 3:00 PM.

Found the auctioneer and he told me I had won the bid for less than a Benjamin Franklin. :D Picked it up yesterday...

Will put it to good use around the yard next Spring/Summer. Am very pleased! :D

Stanton, another good find, and, hmmm, wonder if our local auctioneer would do that. Wish I could take auctions, but can't.

Most auctions, you can leave your high bid with the auctioneer, auction company, prior to the auction.

That's what I have found at the different auctions I attend. Most of them are really nice about taking your bid (aka, money).
