Working on my Dad's 1110 CCC Cub Cadet.
What is the manufacture's recommended fluid for the Peerless (I think) hydrostatic transmission?

Hydrostat fluid
Case/IH/Cub dealer say that the brown stuff in the hydrostat transaxle is supposed to be hydraulic transmission fluid.

As far as I know, what Cub Cadet sells under their name as the fluid for hydro's is the same as Hy-Tran, only more expensive than Hy-Tran, and I think the Peerless would use the same as the other hydro's (Sunstrand, now Sauer-Danfoss), but a Cub Cadet dealer should know if the Peerless requires something different.
