Hello
I have a cub Cadet model 2185 with a pto problem, the original one rear bearing went out at about 400 hours and was so tight that I damaged it when removing it, I bought a new one (250+) and not even 2 hours run time the new ones bearings were shot even the one in the belt pulley, what can you do wrong installing this that would cause this problem??
Thanks...Gary L.

You may have done nothing wrong at all. Presuming that the unit went on fine, the bearings should not have failed that fast. If you had to use the retaining bolt to "crank it on", you broke it. CC should warrranty this unit for you if you did not force it on. Contact the dealer you bought it at for more details.

Thanks Ken
I discovered that I left out a 1/4" spacer and think that was probably the problem, do you have a manual showing exactly where it goes, there was 2 different clutches used and mine is bowl shaped at the base, the other has a triangle mtg base..I'd like to have the p/n for the triangle one and maybe find a used one..thanks Gary
