Cub Rear Seal Upgrade

Postby tst » Mon Mar 06, 2017 1:12 pm

Hi, send me your old leaky retainer and I will machine it for a different seal, also flatten the housing it as it is warped also on the gasket surface, I will install a new type of no leak double lip seal, it will be returned to you ready to bolt to the tractor for $48.50 which includes shipping, I turn these around in one day, you need to replace the oil pan gasket and rear main housing gasket also when you do this job, do not use the old gaskets, you can see in the pictures I rebuild lots of these, just send me a PM if you have questions or email me at tstkrl@verizon.net
thanks Tim

A friend of mine wants me to change out the rear main seal on his farmall cub. someone told me there's someone here who will re-machine it for me and put a better seal in it.
First off, how big of a job is this to do?? I'm not afraid to separate it, I've done that before.
Second, how do I contact the guy who does this machining so I can send it to him???

Thanks for all your help, Dan.

Hi Tim,
Do you sell the retainer and seal without my old one? I'd like to have one to put in when I split it then throw it right back together. Thanks, Dan.

Dan, all the info you need is in the first post of this thread.
It is common sense to take a method and try it. If it fails, admit it frankly and try another. But above all, try something.

Tim does charge a core if you do not send the old one. I suggest you email him. His email is in his above post. ...Frank
