Doesn't say if the engine is stuck, is outside with no cover on exhaust, at least at present. Is that the original style hood?

I didn't think the very early cubs had hydraulics must have been added after factory build.

Probably should confirm its year by comparing the casting dates on the major assemblies. Bolsters get swapped around so often!

First production Cubs didn't have touch control. Could have been added later.

Suspect.
I have an excuse. CRS.

That's out in Bob McCarty territory (well, not actually), but he's closer than I am. Would be a fun project to restore with the serial number being that low.

Anyone looking at this one should have a long conversation with the owner prior to the sale. Perhaps get some questions answered.

Looks like the original hood to me, with the long eared dash as well.

Our '47 didn't have hydraulics when we got it a couple years ago, still had the hand lift on it. I added hydraulics to it.

#501 has had touch control added at some point in its life. I think it was a fairly common practice after it became available.

Never mind the Cub, look at the beautiful Firestone Champion Ground Grip (turkey track) tire on the A/Super A carcass beside the cub! :big crazy:
