Thank you coppersmythe. I'd prefer to find original equipment if possible but the one from ag supply looks like it beats digging sweet potatoes by hand in this 100 degee heat. Curious if anyone owns one or has used one and have thoughts on it?

I have an IH fast hitch one . I use it on my Super A, I used it on the Cub a time or two and it worked fine. You have to do a good job of cutting your tater vines before using it. It does NOT under any circumstances like residue/vines/etc on the ground.

I always felt like the sweep/bottom on the Agri Supply one wasn't big enough.

I wondered if that sweep was big enough. Tough to tell from the picture. I have a c16 middle buster that I used to use but do not want to drop the fast hitch to swap it out for a few rows. Al is right though, I typically run over the potaotes with row builders to cut them free.

Yeah that agri supply one does look wide enough for bringing up potatoes. Probably fine for trenching to plant them, though

I have the Leinback model
I’ve used it and I agree the plow is not wide enough to up root potatoes
I have the IH fasthitch model in my collection that I’ve restored for shows and I’ve not used it to know how to compare

I will say I am pleased with my c16 digging the little reds I've done in the past. Big bodied plow that does well and gets everything to surface. If I can find the fast hitch model I'd be happy to just click and go. Has made a world of difference with chancing between the moldboard plow, disc harrow, and spring tooth harrow.

Yes, I like out C16, too. I really would like to get the fasthitch version, though. Sometimes we use 6 different fast hitch tools in a day and we can swap out really fast.

Maybe there is a way to add to the share of the agri supply version. I have had some modified potato diggers in the past so I know it could be done. Just a thought for you Grant.

I have a mule drawn middlebuster that someone modified to work with fast hitch. Works very well with minimum modification. It’s not for sale, though. Just an idea until you can find original one.
